You should also check hotwire.com — I saw a deal for $39/night on there — the hotel is downtown, but they tell you the name of it after you book it.

Our recommendation is to try to stay in downtown Reno — you’ll be within walking distance of the Underground. Here’s a hotel map, with the Underground being the green arrow in the center. The hotels around the Eldorado are nicer… the Sands is nice… the ones east of Virginia St. are on the cheaper (& seedier) side. Good luck!
